CE Requirements for California Psychologist

How many CE units does California require?

36 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) biennially

Starting January 1, 2024, everyone renewing their license must meet the CPD requirements

Zur Institute is considered Category #3 – Sponsored Continuing Education: A maximum of 27 hours is allowed from Category #3.

Additional Information

4 hours Law and Ethics in the subject of laws and ethics as they apply to the practice of psychology in California (effective January 1, 2023)

4 hours Cultural Diversity or Social Justice in the subject of cultural diversity and/or social justice as they apply to the practice of Psychology (effective January 1, 2023)

6 hours suicide prevention training for first time renewals
